Hurrying
Jason and I watched National Velvet last night. One of many scenes that makes me smile:
(Velvet is galloping down the road, pretending to ride a horse)
Mi: I wouldn’t be cantering a horse up a hill like that.
Velvet: I don’t usually. I was hurrying.
Mi: Where to?
Velvet: No where. Just hurrying.
My friend Sarah G. used to tell me she didn’t understand racing. She said it just seems like being in a hurry all the time.
